Welcome to the Michigan Consortium for Addressing Rural Education Expansion and Retention (MiCAREER) Resource Hub!

We are here to support educators in rural areas across Michigan, thanks to the groundbreaking Michigan Legislative Act 388.1671i. This legislation provides vital funding through the Michigan Department of Education, allowing us to bring together educator preparation institutions (EPIs) and rural school districts to create meaningful opportunities for aspiring educators.

At MiCAREER, our mission is to help prospective rural educators achieve their teaching credentials and gain early career experience at little to no cost. We provide personalized support through a blend of academic courses and assessments of prior experiences, ensuring that educators meet the necessary certification requirements. Beyond that, we're dedicated to ensuring that rural educators thrive in the long term by offering a robust mentoring and support system.
